SUMMARY OF POLICIES

Medication Policy
Written consent from parents is required for prescribed medications on the medication sheet.  Please read the medication policy ‘On File’.  Children who require inhalers or have known allergies will always have prompt attention.

Equal Opportunities Policy
All children are welcome at Beach House.  We give the same attention to all parents and children regardless of their age, gender, social group, religion, disability or developmental progress.

Complaints Policy
We have a complaints policy in place, if you have any concerns please discuss them with Helen Thomas, Proprietor. In her absence please contact Sue Roberts, General Manager.  We will listen and record the complaint.  We will resolve the matter at a local level whenever possible.  If you wish to take the matter further please contact the CSIW, Broncoed House, Broncoed Business Park, Wrexham Road, Mold.  Tel: 01352 707 900.

Behaviour Policy
No child at Beach House will ever be spoken to, or handled inappropriately.  We talk to the child and try to resolve the problem.  Re-direction and distraction usually works.  If other methods fail and the undesirable behaviour persists then ‘Time Out’ in the same room as the other children is used.  This is only for a few minutes.  Parents will always be informed of any undesired behaviour if it is persistent. We have a management policy that refers to bullying.

Exclusion Policy
Please adhere to the exclusion policy and do not bring your child to the nursery if they are ill, infectious or have a temperature above 37.5 degrees centigrade. Children cannot be accepted with vomiting or diarrhoea and must be 48 hour clear of these symptoms before returning to Beach House.
